Mar 31, 09 at 4:46 pmWoo hoo! It was debated for about 10 minutes and was “Perfected” at about 6:00pm. I just looked online to see the progress and the Senate was talking about it. Then I received a call from Senator Smith’s office telling me it was on the floor. I had butterflies in my stomache.
We’re not over the hill just yet. It should go through the Senate a third time, hopefully by next week. They will take a formal vote. If your Senator votes no, I would work to get the other candidate elected, to prove a point. Then to the House of Representatives where it goes through the same process as the Senate.
Start contacting your State Representatives and the House Majority leader and encourage them to get this Bill to the floor and pass it.
One down and one to go. Don’t think we are victorious yet.
CALL YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE AND THE HOUSE MAJORITY LEADER. TELL THEM TO GET THIS BILL TO THE FLOOR AND PASS IT!
Thank You Sorry for the all Caps
